These cells are designed to effectively treat large volume flows with low concentrations of pollutants. The innovative cell design changes the hydrodynamics in such a way that the pollutants are transported more efficiently to the anode surface. The design also promotes the reduction of unwanted inorganic oxidation products.
This considerable advantage of the CONDIACELL® cell model ECWP has recently been demonstrated in the treatment of waste water from the automotive industry. The desired limit value of < 20 mg/L was achieved with 1/10 of the hydroxyl radicals compared to the CONDIACELL® cell model CC.
The technology is currently under development, especially for the degradation of trace substances and especially for the degradation of PFAS (short for per- and polyfluorinated alkyl compounds). The degradation of PFAS with DIACHEM® electrodes has been proven to be significantly more effective than with other oxidation processes.
